The first
time I saw you bring Mary Todd Lincoln to life was when you portrayed her at
our chapter meeting several years ago. Then I saw you give an incredible and
more in depth program at the Carter Center. Your portrayal of Mary gets
better and better the older she becomes. Thank you for sharing your talent,
expertise and wisdom with our membership. You provided value from the moment
you first entered the room as Mary all the way to explaining your research
when writing your book to brining her to life at your audition when you were
the only one wearing a full costume. Thank you again for allowing us to grow
as speakers from your experiences.
Martha Lanier, President
Thank
you so much for sharing your incredible talent with us last Saturday. I was
amazed at how well you were able to connect with the audience in the short time
we provided for your presentation. Not only did we get to meet Mary Todd
Lincoln, we were able to take away some life lessons. Please let me know when
you are performing your entire program, I would love to attend.
Jon Schwartz, Vice President of Education/President-Elect
When I finished reading "Loving Mr. Lincoln," I
felt almost a kinship with a most complex lady and her enigmatic husband. It
was almost as if I knew Mary Todd Lincoln. After your portrayal, I did know
her! What a wonderful, entertaining and intimate glimpse into a remarkable
character.
And I really appreciated your behind
the scenes look at developing and delivering a character — very, very good
stuff.
