Meet Mary Todd Lincoln beautifully reveals the life and personal thoughts of the 16th First Lady and the husband who would never have become President without her. Using Mary Lincoln’s memories and actual photographs, Kay masterfully weaves one of the strongest, yet most tragic, relationships in history and transports your group back to the 1800s, into the White House, and onto the battlefield. A preprogram quiz is included to stimulate students’ thinking before the program and to give teachers and facilitators a discussion vehicle afterward (ask us about it). The pictures accompanying the presentation (if an LCD and assistant are available) are a visual reminder and reinforcement of the people and places Mary Lincoln discusses. When your young people leave this program, they’ll feel like they’ve been allowed inside the life of one of the world’s most famous couples, and they will learn about that slice of history from someone who was there.
